Brand Strategy, fundraising and awareness marketing for a technology start-up
Inspired by the vision of water independence for communities everywhere, WaterSeer creates technologies that make water accessible directly from the air around us.
Design Alliance developed a comprehensive online fundraising and awareness strategy by working closely with WaterSeer and their partners, the University of California Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology, and the National Peace Corps Association.
Our online ‘Pure and Simple’ campaign went viral, with over 58 million views, bringing the company global visibility and helping them raise over 400% of their initial funding goal. In addition, TIME and Popular Science magazines each featured articles about WaterSeer’s innovative technology.
We further supported WaterSeer by designing their website, brochures, and social media outreach, and branded exhibits for their events and speaking engagements.
From the beginning, we were an integral part of the WaterSeer research and development team, producing industrial design concepts and previsualizations that accelerated product development and production.
WaterSeer was awarded the title ‘Emerging Technology of the Year‘ at the National Capital Region Chamber of Commerce’s Innovation Awards Conference.
