CHALLENGE

The Greater Washington Board of Trade has been a vital force in the national and regional business community for over 100 years. But, after the dot-com crash, the Board was feeling sluggish, and a disillusioned Washington business community had begun to perceive the Board of Trade as elitist, stodgy, cliquish, and out-of-step.

SOLUTION

Through a series of discovery sessions, we worked with the Board's executive branding team to rediscover and recommit to the underlying values and spirit that had made the Board great.

We created a new logo and new branded communications materials, designed to reposition the Board of Trade as vital, open, and relevant. The new positioning line that we developed: Growing Business. Building Community. reflects the dual nature of the Board of Trade's mission, which is to improve both the regional economy and the quality of life in the greater Washington DC area.
