CHALLENGE

The District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) is the premier organization for real estate related professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region, but the look and feel of their website and collateral materials failed to reflect the quality of the organization.

SOLUTION

Design Alliance completely redesigned the DCBIA website and publications to give the Association a look and feel that more appropriately and accurately represents the professionalism of the Association and its members and the extraordinarily vibrant level of real estate development and design excellence occurring in the greater Washington DC area. Design Alliance consolidated and reorganized the web site's navigation to make the overall user experience more informative, intuitive, and comprehensive - using evocative photography of marquee, local architectural projects to give an appropriate and meaningful context to the site's extensive content.

The new look and feel for Pipeline, the DCBIA's bimonthly newsletter, incorporates the web site's color palette and large horizontal photos, creating a consistent look and feel across both printed and interactive media. Design Alliance's new design also created an obvious "cover" for the publication, elevating the content from the realm of casual newsletter to that of a more substantial bimonthly magazine.
